Last week I visited with some friends the Interclassic fair in Maastricht. It was a really nice exhibitions with tons of nice vintage cars from all over the world. The amosphere was good and the visitors were really friendly and polite in contrast to the mondial de l’automobile.
The car collection of Louwman (Wassenaar, Netherlands) has a special guest; a couple of Mercedes Silver Arrows. These cars made recently an appearance at the Goodwood Revival of 2012 and are well known of their controversial racing heritage from the mid and end 30′s.
It has been 15 years since the channels were frozen. For the Dutch it is a very important happening. I still can remember my first steps on the ice and as a real Amsterdammer those where the days that I learned skating. It was great to refresh those good memories with this nice weather.
